At the age of seven, he was recommended to a local talent manager after taking a commercial class with a local Philadelphia acting teacher. Upon signing with the manager, he booked his first national commercial for the Burger King Kid's Club and his career quickly took off. As a child actor, he appeared in numerous voice overs, print ads, national commercials and television shows. His big break came after working with critically acclaimed commercial director Joe Pytka, who cast him in the Hallmark Hall of Fame commercial "Mrs. LaGow's Gift." His performance in the commercial won him the 1991 Clio Award for "Best Child Performer." Having had great success on the small screen, he expanded his horizons and set his sights on the stage. Throughout high school, he appeared at numerous local and regional theatres in the tri-state area. As a junior, Ben appeared as a soloist alongside his high school choir at Carnegie Hall. He continued his studies at New York University's "Tisch School of the Arts," where he received his BFA in Drama. As a trained actor and singer, he has appeared on the stages of numerous regional theatres across the country. After a successful career as an actor in New York City, Ben decided to move out to Los Angeles to pursue his career. |
